1993
Southern Cable was incorporated and commenced operations in Kulai, Johor as a manufacturer of cables and wires.
1996
Southern Cable shifted its manufacturing operations from Johor to Kedah and continued to manufacture power cables and wires.
1999
Southern Cable obtained its first product certification license from SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd (SIRIM) for its power cables and wires.
2002
Southern Cable secured its first contract from Telekom Malaysia Berhad to manufacture and supply communications cables and wires based on their specifications.
2007
Southern Cable expanded its manufacturing capabilities and started manufacturing low voltage power cables and wires with nominal cross-sectional area of up to 630mm².
2009
Southern Cable set-up its first production line to manufacture copper rods, comprising electric furnace and continuous casting facilities as copper rod is a key input material used in its cable and wire manufacturing operations.
2010
Southern Cable started to manufacture medium voltage power cables and wires with a rated voltage of up to 33kV.
2011
Southern Cable became a licensed and registered company of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas).
2012
Southern Cable started to manufacture cables and wires with fire-resistant properties for its power cables and wires.
2014
Southern Cable started to supply cables and wires to various railway related contractors for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (MRT 1) project in Selangor.
2015
Southern Cable became an approved vendor of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to supply high voltage power cables with rated voltage up to 132kV.
2017
Southern Cable secured its first contract for the supply and installation of rectifier systems from Telekom Malaysia Berhad.
2019
Southern Cable commenced a small production run for the manufacture of high voltage 132kV power cables for power transmission.
2020
Southern Cable Public Listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia 16th October.
